Family vacations are my favorite!
My hardworking parents saved up for yearly trips throughout the continental US and Mexico, sharing their travel lust and joy of new experiences and places with their five kids. These journeys instilled in me a vibrant passion to capture memories and savor life. It was all about us kids!
Motels HAD to have a pool, be children friendly, and hopefully miniature golf next door. National parks were our favorite destinations. Back in the days when Pan Am flew 747’s to the west coast, I remember the top deck up the spiral stairs was a kid’s paradise! Finger foods and games, tropical drinks and decks of cards were entertainment and nourishment to ensure the kids were buffed out. Those days are gone yet never forgotten. Times have not changed for kids to have an outstanding vacation on Kauai!
Kauai captures the imagination of the “child in all of us” adults while catering to the experience of our kids. There’s an endless assortment of activities here. At Princeville Ranch adventures, their keiki camp is filled with crafts, music, horseback riding and a petting zoo! Kid friendly snorkel tours and surf camps abound.
Tide pools are alive with vibrant species found only in Hawaii and a day of exploring is always exciting! My energetic daughter can’t wait for low tide summer mornings at her favorite shoreline! Hikes and canoe trips can easily be fashioned to safely accommodate the younger crowd. You never know what will be discovered while exploring…
